Meet Our Board of Directors

Terrence Curry

Terrance Curry, a St. Louis native and former Mizzou football player, has over 20 years of experience in transformative change for the lives of the St. Louis City youth. In 2007 he launched The Nash Youth Association (NYA) serving thousands of students annually. His alma mater, The University of Missouri (Mizzou) partnered with NYA bringing over 2,500 St. Louis youth to Mizzou sharing the college and athletic experience. Terrance is an IT expert that also consults with new entrepreneurs and business owners. Terrance and his wife own a restaurant in St. Louis where they continue to serve the community providing good food and fellowship. His passion is to help inner city youth reimagine their future outside of the barriers and traumas they may face. Through athletics, he connects with youth providing opportunities.

Krysta Grangeno

Krysta is a proud member of the Creek Nation, of Mexican and Indigenous descent. She is deeply passionate about authenticity, empowerment, and resolute values.  Krysta has 11 years of nonprofit executive experience, designing effective programs for low income families with demonstrated outcomes and defined measures of success. After earning her Bachelor’s in Social Work, she embarked on a community organizing internship through the Center for Community Change. This experience laid a strong foundation for her community organizing work, where she collaborated with church leaders to build bridges with immigrant communities, develop leaders, and influence national-level policies. 
Through various nonprofit and community leadership roles, She has program development, facilitation, operations, DEI, and grant writing expertise. Through this, she tirelessly advocates for systemic change, equitable opportunities, and personal development. 

Dr. Rebecca Langrall

Rebecca Langrall holds a BA in English from Smith College, a Masters in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College, a Doctorate in Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies from the University of Massachusetts- - Amherst, and a Graduate Certificate in School Administration and Supervision from The Johns Hopkins University. Rebecca is an ELA expert who creates change by developing educators by teaching transformational skills and strategies to ensure that their instruction impacts all students. Her interests include equity in education, teaching for conceptual understanding through inquiry, English and social studies education, and developing teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge. She is committed to creating challenging yet nurturing learning opportunities for all students and is particularly invested in working in solidarity with students from historically marginalized groups.

Dr. Stephanie Madlinger

Dr. Stephanie Madlinger is a talented educator with over 30 years of experience in the St. Louis area. She has worked as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, professor, and as a director and educational technology consultant in the nonprofit sector. Stephanie is passionate about using technology to enhance student learning and is an advocate for personalized learning and educational equity. Dr. Madlinger has extensive experience in instructional design and professional development, and is an internationally recognized expert in educational technology integration. Stephanie has earned numerous credentials and regularly trains on the Google Suite & Workspace and the International Society for Technology Education (ISTE) Certifications. Dr. Madlinger currently serves as a higher education faculty member at two universities; as an educational technology professor at Webster University and doctoral content expert & methodologist at Missouri Baptist University. Stephanie manages her own business as an independent consultant supporting educators, parents, and community members in-person and online. As a respected veteran educator, Dr. Madlinger is also a proud parent of four adult children, including three educators. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing and cooking.

Tanisha Montgomery, MBA

Tanisha Montgomery is the Vice President of Marketing Strategic Initiatives and the Chief of Staff for the Chief Marketing Officer of one of Synchrony’s largest platforms. Montgomery has a proven track record across digital, retail, and multi-client structures. She has successfully innovated and driven several scalable strategic initiatives across client partners and providers at Synchrony. She received executive-level recognition for her work towards an estimated growth initiative of $800 million in digital products and legacy    enhancements for one of Synchrony’s largest client partners, while executing another initiative to actualize $2.1 million in incremental growth. 

Montgomery participated in West Point’s Thayer Leadership Program in 2022 and the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative Fellowship program in 2021. She continues to build a talent recruitment pipeline for Synchrony as the Black Experiences Network Career Leader, leading a team that programs and engages HBCUs as a part of an investment partnership with the HBCU Caucus and the Executive Leadership Council (ELC) scholarship program, in full alignment with an overall HBCU strategy. She also co-leads small groups for the Women’s Network and is a supporting member and ally for the PRIDE+ Network. Equity and inclusion are core principles that continue to be interwoven into Tanisha’s personal and professional engagements. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Montgomery has dual degrees in international studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Dr. Carrie Page

Carrie is a Special Education Coordinator at Special School District of St. Louis County. With over 22 years of experience in special education, she is a passionate and dedicated leader who strives to improve students' academic and social outcomes with diverse needs. As the Special Education Coordinator at the Special School District of St. Louis County (SSD), she oversees the implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) across 3 schools, collaborating with administrators, teachers, and families to provide effective and evidence-based interventions. In her previous role as an MTSS facilitator, she facilitated professional development and coaching for staff on learning disabilities, restorative practices, and data analysis. Previously, Carrie served as a School Psychologist at SSD for 12 years, conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and providing counseling and consultation services. She completed her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration at Maryville University of Saint Louis, where she is researching the impact of trauma-informed practices on student achievement and well-being. She is also a Dare to Lead Trained Leader who values courage, empathy, and collaboration.

Gary Stevenson

Aaron Williams

Gary Stevenson was born and raised on the North side St. Louis CIty, and attended St. Louis Public Schools until he was given a space in the Voluntary Interdistrict program. After transferring, he continued school in the Parkway School District and graduated from Parkway West High School before  attending Saint Louis University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. He concurrently obtained a Master's degree in Accounting, focusing on Auditing, and is now a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA). Gary works in Risk Management at Paylocity, an HRM software company. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, cooking meals for friends and family, and exploring new places in the city. 

Aaron joined the board in 2022, he serves as the Development Committee chair. Aaron is a lifelong resident of the Normandy Schools Collaborative, (the district in which The Leadership School is located) and brings a deep community ties to our board. He is also a founding parent and board member. His son was one of the founding students at The Leadership School, and is currently in the 4th Grade
